This client was out of space with their growing family. We designed and built a large addition of interior and exterior space. Their family spends most of their time outside in the summer so the exterior patio spaces were as important as the interior. The wall of windows in the living room gives the feeling of being outside even when you are inside the house. We used beams and cathedral ceilings to create a spacious feeling in a smaller space. We utilized Etchwood beams to give the feeling of old hand-hewn barn beams. The result is a rustic feel in a very functional space large enough for family and entertaining friends.
