This garage project presented a unique opportunity to blend modern functionality with sentimental value. A primary concern for the owner was the size of the new garage potentially overwhelming the existing property. To address this, we utilized 3D modeling, drawing in their current house and a nearby tree. This allowed us to show the owner exactly how the new garage would look within the space, alleviating their concerns. We also honored the original structure by custom-building a new cupola and carefully re-installing the weathervane from the old garage, preserving a piece of the past in the new construction.

The result of this careful planning and unique touches was, in our client’s words, “The best garage on the block.” The new structure provides significantly more storage space than before, along with a versatile upstairs area perfect for hobbies or additional living space. While the challenge of ensuring the larger garage didn’t overwhelm the property was significant due to the previous garage’s smaller footprint, our detailed approach ensured a harmonious and highly functional addition to the home.
